Casino bonuses and Ice Fishing
Most welcome packages are written for slots and quietly weight live game shows at a tenth. Here is how to read the terms before accepting one.

Game weighting
Every bonus carries a weighting table, and live game shows sit near the bottom of it. Weighted at 10%, a 35x wagering requirement on a 100 bonus means 35,000 of turnover on Ice Fishing rather than 3,500. At 0% the bonus cannot be cleared here at all.
This is disclosed rather than hidden, but it is disclosed in the terms while the headline number is on the banner — and the banner is what gets read.
| Offer type | Typical live weighting | Turnover to clear 100 at 35x | Fits here? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Slots welcome package | 10% | 35,000 | Rarely |
| Mixed casino bonus | 20% | 17,500 | Sometimes |
| Live casino bonus | 100% | 3,500 | Usually |
| Live cashback, no wagering | n/a | None | Yes |
Weightings vary by operator. The figure that matters is in the bonus terms.
Which offer types fit
A 25 no-wagering live cashback is worth more to an Ice Fishing player than a 500 package weighted at 10%, and it is not close. Smaller headline, but it applies to the table you actually want to play and there is nothing to clear.
Live reloads are the next best fit: recurring, usually weighted at 100% on live tables, and small enough that the terms tend to be simple. Slot-first welcome packages are worth taking only if you also intend to play slots.
One more thing worth checking: some operators exclude live game shows from bonus play entirely, which means a bonus balance cannot be used at the Ice Fishing table even at 0% weighting. Operator terms compared.
