Bonus bets large enough for a maximum result to breach the 500,000 single-round cap are published at a reduced 94.55%.
House edge in money
House edge is RTP subtracted from 100%, and it is the more useful of the two figures because it multiplies cleanly against turnover.
Put 100 through Leaf bets over an evening and the long-run cost is 2.90. Put the same 100 through Huge Reds and it is 4.83. Per round that gap looks trivial. Against ninety rounds an hour it stops looking trivial, because the figure that matters is not what you deposited but everything that went across the table.
| Stake per round | Turnover per hour | Cost on Leaf | Cost on Huge Reds |
|---|---|---|---|
| 0.50 | 45 | 1.31 | 2.17 |
| 1.00 | 90 | 2.61 | 4.35 |
| 3.00 | 270 | 7.83 | 13.04 |
| 10.00 | 900 | 26.10 | 43.47 |
Any individual hour will land well away from these figures in both directions.
The 94.55% case
Evolution caps a single round at 500,000 in table currency. On small stakes the cap is invisible. On large bonus bets it truncates the top of the payout distribution, and when that happens the published theoretical return for those bets falls to 94.55%.
For context, the other Evolution wheels apply the same cap logic to their own ceilings.
Practically: if you are betting near the table maximum on Huge Reds, the return you are actually playing against is lower than the figure on the info screen for smaller stakes. The cap removes exactly the outcomes that make the bet worth its price. More on the cap and the 5,000x ceiling.
