How the game works

How to play Ice Fishing

Five bet routes, a ten-second window and one payout rule that catches out almost every new player. Here is the whole game in the order it happens.

18+ · T&Cs apply · gambling can be addictive

A round in order

  1. Choose a route

Leaf 1 and Leaf 2 are the base bets at 23 segments each. Lil’ Blues, Big Oranges and Huge Reds are the bonus routes. All Bonuses covers the three fish in one click.

  2. Place chips

Roughly ten to fifteen seconds. You can back several routes at once and most players do — a base bet plus one or more bonus chips.

  3. Multipliers are dealt

The RNG boosts random segments after betting closes. Boosted segments light up before the spin, so you can see them but cannot act on them. Any advice to “bet only on boosted rounds” describes something the interface does not allow.

  4. The wheel resolves

A leaf result settles instantly. A fish result opens the matching bonus round for anyone holding that route.

  5. The host fishes

Catches come up one at a time, each carrying its own multiplier, with a crane or a helicopter for the heavy ones.

  6. Payout

Stake times result — with the caveat in the next section.

Bonus bets large enough for a maximum result to breach the 500,000 single-round cap are published at a reduced 94.55%.

Leaf 1 and Leaf 2 are mathematically identical. They never both win, so backing both splits one stake across the same 86.8% of the wheel.

The fish routes are one-way tickets. You enter a bonus round only if you held that exact route, which means watching a Huge Reds land while your chip sits on Lil’ Blues is the ordinary experience, not bad luck. The full segment layout shows why.

Reading the payout

This is the rule worth memorising before you deposit anything.

An unboosted leaf pays 1:1, meaning your stake comes back plus the same again. A 1.00 bet returns 2.00.

Any multiplier win pays the multiplier instead of returning the stake. A 10x boosted leaf on a 1.00 bet returns 10.00, which is a 9:1 net win rather than 10:1. A 3x boost is a 2:1 net win. The same applies to every bonus catch.

The difference is small on one round and compounds across a session, and it is the single most misread line in the game rules. How the two multiplier systems differ.

Rules questions

What is the minimum bet in Ice Fishing?

0.10 in the table currency on every route. Maximums differ: 10,000 on Leaf, 2,500 on Lil’ Blues, 1,000 on Big Oranges and 500 on Huge Reds.

What does the All Bonuses button do?

It places your chip on all three fish routes at once. It is a convenience, not a discount — you pay three separate bets at three sub-96% returns.

Is autoplay available?

In most markets, in blocks of 5 to 100 rounds. It is disabled for players in Great Britain.
