How the game works

How Ice Fishing multipliers work

Two separate systems run in the same round and are routinely confused. One multiplies your stake; the other multiplies the fish.

Leaf boosts

Before each spin the RNG can assign a multiplier to one or more leaf segments. The published values are 3x, 4x, 5x, 7x and 10x.

If the wheel stops on your boosted leaf, you are paid that multiple of your stake. A 5x boost on a 2.00 bet returns 10.00. Because the stake is not returned on top, that is a 4:1 net win rather than 5:1.

Boosts apply to the specific segment, not to the whole Leaf route. A boosted Leaf 1 segment pays the multiple only if the wheel lands on that exact segment; the other twenty-two Leaf 1 segments still pay 1:1.

Wheel multipliers on fish

Fish segments can be assigned 2x to 10x. This one behaves completely differently: it does not multiply your stake, it multiplies every fish value inside the bonus round.

A 10x on Huge Reds turns the smallest possible 10x catch into 100x and the largest 500x catch into 5,000x. That is the only route to the game’s advertised ceiling, and it requires the multiplier and the top catch in the same round. The arithmetic on that is here.

The stake rule

Why timing them is impossible

Multipliers are assigned after the betting window closes. You can see which segments are boosted, but by then no chips can be moved.

This makes a whole family of advice useless: waiting for a boosted round, increasing stakes when a 10x appears, or skipping unboosted rounds. None of it is available in the interface. What is available is choosing your bet route in advance, which is the decision that actually moves your expected cost. Strategy, and what does not work.
